Resolution Accomplished.

I enjoy making New Years resolutions, setting goals and writing lists...I have notebooks of them! (Seriously, an entire drawer filled with notebooks. But they are so much more than a notebook...more on that another time...)

My New Years Resolutions for 2012 looked something like this:

Dee's Resolutions for 2012

  • By June 1 have started my blog/website about things that I love, learn and am interested in, my life, my family, my days.
  • Stop biting my nails again (gave it up 2011 and it lasted all through my pregnancy and started up full force when Buddha was about 8 weeks old (Mid September))
  • Get a colonic cleanse once and for all!
  • Do a few Raw Detoxes!
  • Get advertisers for said website by 2013! (A girl can dream...)
  • Be kinder to AJ when I get stressed, remember it's not his fault (I'm human...)
  • Compost! No excuses!
  • Learn to knit and crochet better
  • Assist Adelaide in her journey through life in a loving and respectful manner
  • Spend quality time with family, all of them.
  • Don't bring plastic into the household (you wouldn't believe how difficult this is!)
  • Stop using Microwave.
  • Grow as many organic veggies and herbs as we can fit into pots on the sidewalk
  • Pejondak the house!!!! (will go into this at another time)
  • Remind my friends how special they are to me in kind, simple ways.
  • GET A NEW BED!! Not necessarily a resolution, but an absolute MUST for 2012!
  • Watch less TV.
  • Spend AT LEAST 15 minutes outside everyday.
I am happy to say that by June 1 I have accomplished many of these goals/resolutions! I would love to delve deeper but Bubu is now awake and waving her diaper cover over her head on the living room floor at my feet while babbling "dadada dadaa" (Shes working on her second word!) so I must keep it brief today.

Note: Her first word was "Mama"...I melted into a puddle of love on the floor.

I made a new recipe today for a special occasion, but am feeling quite self conscious about it because I am currently in a Raw Detox and can't test these yummy and chewy-looking Gluten Free Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies. I had my standby taster see for himself and I was pleased by his eager "OK I'll have just one more because I could easily eat them all." Oh how he knows what I need to hear :)

This recipe is adapted from a recipe I got from a girl named Yami from New York.( Yami's Blog, but I got it from her Instagram). I will definitely be making them again!

This recipe was FAST and really EASYand apparently DELICIOUS too!

mmmm look at that gooey yummyness :)

The brown food in the jar is Spiced Garlic Kaniwa (similar to Quinoa).
This food for a MealTrain that I am a part of.

Gotta busy day ahead of us, so until tomorrow...
